I know, I know, I've been terribly, terribly missing. But I've been reading! Invisibly! I had a period of time where I kind of just lost track of the world, and not in a good way. That said, I noticed that as far as I could tell, this topic was missing and I rather liked being able to see everything good happening in people's lives.

Good things for me:

-I am on vacation for a week
-I went dancing last night for the first time in ages
-I have gotten my hair cut and a gotten a massage
-I have been catching up with a lot of friends this week, which also rocks.

So what good is going on with everyone else?

The dancing wasn't any kind in particular; I went with friends to a goth/industrial club. Happy

I'm probably going to be in Canberra with my mom's cousin, but she said she would take me up to Sydney for a bit, and i'll most likely find myself some ways of getting about

Nifty, I've never been to a club like that Sad it's on my list of things to do before death, though Happy

Canberra's pretty in some places, but very very boring if you're there too long. ( ah, school trips) Sydney's got some good shopping if you're into that, and there's some nice places to wander.

Adelaide totally rocks them both though Wink haha
(so not true it's sad. We're so small! Scared )

But at least we're not full of politicians! Funnyface I didn't like Canberra much either. Sydney's quite crowded, which I don't like. But it's got a lot more going for it than Canberra. Melbourne is good for shopping ^^

I have a job! Yay ^^

I thought it was a little depressing that the not-so-good things thread had more stuff in it. So! My good thing: I'm going to Disneyworld in three days. *happy dance*

AAAW! No Egils for us this year ;( We worked instead and it was an AWFUL weekend.

But, AFTER the weekend, Karma showed some favour and Will was able to sell his car and we bought a smashing little scooter.

But then Karma laughed and the people we sold our car to called and complained that it had broken down and the scooter promptly stopped working.

However! There's nothing we can do for them because we were nothing but honest about the car and even gave them the mechanics information we went to when having it fixed. Mostly, because Will couldn't lie even if he wanted to, he's just TOO nice.

AND, scooters aren't THAT hard to fix. Right? Razz found the spark plug! *smiling while covered in grime*

Hey, no feeling sorry in the Good Things thread. That defeats the purpose! Ohmy!

Today I got a haircut then chased my dog around the park, which was a lot of fun. Very Happy Not a super major good thing to anyone else, but enjoying the little things is great!

We took Will's scooter apart and put it back together all on our own. We ARE the Alpha AND the Omega!!

I mean... yeh, we're pretty proud that we got the thing running.

I have a good thing!

A Dean, Ray Yan, at the Digipen Institute of Technology (its an Art and Programming college, more or less) came into my class for mock interviews and portfolio reviews.

He said that he was very impressed with my work and that with my attitude towards art I would go far.
Well, ha, that just REALLY made my day.

Maybe a half hour later I was at lunch and my animation teacher, his boss, and two of my other teachers pulled me into a little meeting.

First things first, my teacher's boss, Mr. Martin as I call him, tells me that this dean wants me to do summer programs up at the college. I was grinning like mad at just that so just imagine what the next bit info did.

Mr. Yan was apparently so impressed, he's attempting to get a scholarship for me to go to Digipen.

Wow Irish! That's wonderful! I just read your post and even though I don't know you, it's definatly good news, deserving of congratulations Very Happy

So have fun at the summer programs!

My good things:
- My summer holiday started last week (I follow a part-time study graphic design at the art academy)
- I'm going to do volunteer work (illustrating for the websites and educational things) at the national museum of natural history.
- My kitten is no longer having trouble with his bowles (that lasted for a few weeks already, poor thing)
- I have time to hang around on the Cat Legend forum again! Whee! (I think last time my name was hawkeye, but since there's been a new forum since then, I changed my name too Wink)
